Today we are going to introduce a Chinese recipe which is very popular among the French: Cook chicken with sand ginger and sesame oil(麻油沙姜鸡). Before we begin, let me introduce the ingredients. Sand ginger, it’s different from ordinary ginger, and it is smaller in size and has a stronger flavor. Sesame oil, from sesame seeds. Of course, if you don’t have them at home, you can replace them with ordinary ginger and vegetable oil. But it’s not that delicious.
Prepare the chicken leg 250 g, wash and cut into pieces.
Slice the sand ginger. Pour the sesame oil into the wok and heat it, pour the sand ginger into the pot and stir-fry until fragrant.
Add chicken and stir-fry until medium well-MW. Add cooking wine, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce and rock sugar, stir well.
Pour in boiling water until over the chicken, then cover the wok, simmer for 15 minutes.
Add salt and scallion, stir well.
